Ruins of the Church and Monastery

Constructed in Romanesque style in the first half of the 13th century, then reconstructed in Gothic style, today its remains give a fair idea of how the three-aisle basilica-shaped sanctuary once looked.

Established in 1979 from the private collection of Mr Ferenc Borus, the museum displays a spectacular 1,200 lamps and lanterns, some over 250 years old. Artefacts range from simple oil lamps to the paraffin lamps of world-famous porcelain manufacturers.

Zsámbék Jazz Open
Through July on Fridays jazz concerts are held in the garden of the ruined church.
