The City Park (Városliget in Hungarian) is packed with things to do and places to see. The park was the main venue of the millennium celebrations in 1896.
Behind Heroes' Square lies the ice-skating rink which is a lake in the summer with boats available for rent. Since 1996, the ice-skating rink
gives home to speed-skating championships.
Right across from Széchenyi Thermal Bath is the Amusement Park,
whose history dates back to the beginning of the 1800-s.
The original park was called Vurstli.
The City Park (Városliget in Hungarian) is packed with things to do and places to see. The Central Europe's one and only permanent circus building hosts not only circus performances, but also concerts, fashion shows, and sports events, as well as theatre, operette, and dance performances.
The Hungarian Railway Museum Foundation was set up by MÁV Rt. and MÁV Nosztalgia Kft. in November 1999. The objectives of the Foundation are to collect the railway relics of the past; to develop and operate a permanent railway exhibition; and to maintain the vehicles exhibited and operated at the Museum.
Located in Marczibányi Square, the Millenáris Park was originally the site of the Ganz Electrical Works Factory.As part of the rehabilitation of this industrial area, a 3,5 hectare park was established, with a large exhibition hall.
Hundreds of animal species and lush vegetation await to be discovered within the walls of the Tropicarium.
