The Buddha statue, being the central piece of the Buddha-Bar Restaurants, just arrived to Budapest. It symbolizes the spirit of the new and hip Buddha-Bar Budapest Restaurant, opening this spring at the Buddha-Bar Hotel Budapest Klotild Palace.
The seated Buddha statue that arrived in three pieces is 360-centimeters tall, weighs 250 kilograms and is almost 6 meters high with its foundation. After the final touches it literally connects the Buddha-Bar Restaurant on the ground level with the Buddha-Bar Lounge and Bar on the first floor.
Its journey started in Indonesia and it arrived to Budapest after being shipped across continents to impress the guests of the Buddha-Bar Budapest Restaurant with its size, colors and its radiating majestic calmness.
The piece of art work was designed and built by Mambo Art, whose leaders came from Belgium to create the final sculpture. Before the magnificent, reddish-gold colored statute could take its final place on its foundation, the artists had painted it dark gray followed by red burgundy and finally with gold-color. There are several other Buddha-Bar Restaurants within the franchise, located in the busiest metropolises all over the world and each of them boasts a statue of a different color. To highlight the reddish-gold color Buddha in Budapest, it is sitting next to two large, two stories-tall mirror and the restaurant's red walls and lights also enhance its noble impression.
The Buddha-Bar Hotel Budapest Klotild Palace will open as the second concept hotel of Buddha-Bar Hotels & Resorts in spring 2012, providing its precious guests with top quality 5-star services. The luxurious lifestyle hotel, its six restaurant units and the Buddhattitude Spa invites the senses on a special journey. The unique concept was created by George V Eatertainment Group, which successfully operates several Buddha-Bar Restaurants all over the world including Paris, Dubai, Beirut, Cairo, or Kiev. The original interior design was inaugurated by Raymond Visan and the team of DWA Architects, and the exclusive hotel and restaurant in Budapest is operated by Mellow Mood Hotels, owned by Sameer Hamdan and Zuhair Awad.
